In year 3 we were incredibly lucky to have started a partnership with Orchard world.
We have been visited twice in school, the first visit we were making delicious and creative fruit hedgehogs – Fruithogs!
The children had grapes, pears, cocktail sticks and raisins to make their fantastic fruit friends.
On our second in school visit, created frozen fruit yoghurts, using both fresh produce from the orchard and also imported fruits from other countries.
We also visited Orchard world, in Colchester, where the children got to take part in many different exciting activites, such as:
- A tractor ride
- Apple identifying and picking
- Fruit tasting
- and how they orchard uses energy to protect the environment.
