Over the last few months we have investigated the Anglo-Saxons. Understanding the impact that they have on our society. Year 5 visited West Stow an actual site of an early Anglo-Saxon village, occupied from AD 420-650, over 400 years before the Norman Conquest. It was amazing to see what a Saxon village would look like and understand how they lived, while also identifying the many similarities with our homes and the modern world. History was brought to life by this trip and it was a great experience for everyone.
