The children woke (very bright and early!) ready to start their second day at Mersea Camp.  After a hearty breakfast of American pancakes, cereal and toast, the children prepared for their first of five activities.  Over the day, they continued to rotate around the different activities on offer on the site.  Lots of children beat their personal goals especially in relation to the climbing wall and zip wire.

We finished the day with two activities planned by Miss Campbell.  Firstly, we all went to the beach where the children were challenged to create works of art using the shells and other items they found on the shoreline.  We think you’ll agree they made some wonderful images.

Once they’d finished, we returned to the camping area where Year 6 undertook a scavenger hunt where they searched for something living; something red; something that can be recycled; something 10cm long; something the size of a 50p, the biggest leaf they could find; and something the size of Miss Campbell’s foot!  Some of their ideas were amazing!

They have all had an amazing time  but are also looking forward to coming home tomorrow to tell you all about their adventures.
