It was lovely to see all the children back after the Easter break with lovely smiles. They are all keen and ready to start learning again which is fantastic.
In year 1 this half term our topic is what am I. In science we will be looking at animals including us as humans and linking this to our English story of the Three little pigs.
We are planning to finish off this half term with a trip to Colchester Zoo to look at animals a little closer which we are really excited about.
Today the children experimented making houses out of bricks, straw, sticks and toilet roll tubes, they concluded the bricks were the easiest to build with and would make the strongest house.
